Privacy Policy   Scrollster Privacy Policy Contact: support@scrollster.app   Who we are   Scrollster is a media-first client for the Bluesky / AT Protocol network. We help you browse, tune, and boost content while keeping your account on Bluesky.   Guest mode vs signed-in mode   Guest mode: You can browse and search without a Bluesky account. Guest mode does not include posting, boosting, comments, follows, or other account-based features.   Signed-in mode: When you sign in with a Bluesky / AT Protocol account, Scrollster can access features like posting, commenting, boosting, follows/likes, and profiles.   What we store on your device   Guest mode: preferences and local app settings stored on your device.   Signed-in mode: Bluesky session data needed to run the app (for example access/refresh tokens and handle/DID), stored locally on your device.   Local app data such as preferences, filters, and temporary caches.   What we store on our servers   Boost events: If you use the Boost feature, we store the booster DID, author DID, post URI, and timestamps to power the boost feed and prevent abuse. Boost data is retained for a limited time (currently up to ~36 hours).   Abuse prevention: We may process IP address and basic request metadata to prevent abuse and rate-limit requests.   Advertising (Google AdMob)   Scrollster uses Google AdMob to display ads in eligible parts of the app.   AdMob and its partners may process data such as advertising identifiers provided by your device/platform, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), device/app information, and ad interaction events to serve ads, limit frequency, measure performance, and help prevent fraud/abuse.   You can manage ad personalization and advertising identifier settings in your device settings.   Notifications   Scrollster does not currently send push notifications. If notifications are added later, this policy will be updated.   Content you create (where it is stored)   When signed in, posts, replies/comments, and media you create are uploaded to and stored/served by the Bluesky / AT Protocol network (your PDS / Bluesky). Scrollster is a client app; it does not operate a separate social network for this content.   Media capture/pick   Photos/videos you capture or select may be temporarily stored on your device while you prepare them for upload, then uploaded to Bluesky / AT Protocol when you post.   What we do NOT collect   No precise/background GPS location.   No sale of personal information.   No independent third-party analytics SDKs beyond services required to operate app features and advertising.   Reporting   When you report content in Scrollster, the app submits the report to Bluesky / AT Protocol moderation services when available.   Sharing / third parties   Bluesky / AT Protocol (your PDS / Bluesky) handles login, identity, and storage/serving of network content.   Google AdMob is used to request, deliver, and measure ads in supported app surfaces.   Our website host may collect standard web server logs when you visit scrollster.app.   Deletion, retention, and your choices   Signing out clears your session on this device, but does not delete your Bluesky content (which remains on Bluesky/your PDS until you delete it there).   Deleting content inside Scrollster sends deletion requests to Bluesky / your PDS when supported.   Local device retention: tokens/preferences remain on your device until you sign out, clear app data, or uninstall.   Boost data is retained for a limited time (currently up to ~36 hours).   Security   We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method is 100% secure.   Children   Not directed to children.
